I really hope Morse starts tonight. There's no reason not to start him.

It's a left handed pitcher, Nyjer hits under .200 against them in his career and this season.

I adopted the Royals years ago once Angelhose took the BlOs into the crapper.  Nice to see my two favorite teams and hopefully a win for the home team.

Sure there is, Nyjer hits under .200 against lefties in his career and this season.  That's plenty of reason not to start him.

??? That applies to Morse.

There's no reason not to start Morse is what I said.

I'm pretty sure that was perfectly clear with my post.

For those going tonight - near-perfect weather (http://voices.washingtonpost.com/capitalweathergang/natcast/):

If Michael Morse goes 2-4, does that mean he will be see the bench for another 2 weeks?

Sorry, I misread your post as if you were saying of Nyjer, there's no reason not to start him.

Just for one series I'd love to see Bernie and Pudge batting 1/2.  Too bad it'll never happen.

I want hammer to lead off. Chen would become an instant "pee pants momma's boy."

Morgan over Bernadina why?

1) purported defensive advantage

2) hopefully the 1 and 2 hitters are trade bait

3) lack of man love

I like that Morse is starting but why the freak isn't Bernadina in CF? Also it should be Bernie, Desmond at 1,2 with Kennedy or Guz batting 7th

Desmond and his .294 OBP should not be at the top of the lineup.

Start Roger and bench T Flush.  It's not that hard Riggleman.  You keep one of your hottest bats, and the better defensive player, in the lineup over a goof that hasn't hit a cutoff man since 1997.

Love it except for Morgan leading off.

Put Berny in his spot, and this is the best lineup we can run out there against LHP.

I don't mind Guz playing and hitting 2d against a lefty.  I can live with him hacking as long as he gets on at a .400 clip vs. lefties.  Heck, he was 1 for 2 against Matt :az: Thornton this weekend.

Bernadina didn't look too good/comfortable out in center the other day. He is our starting right fielder against righties now, so that's good.
