What do you have in  your pantry/fridge?

There's always grilled cheese, and the nice thing about that is you can sub different kinds of bread, cheese or 'butter'.

went with the frozen pizza in the end :)

A creation from the Texas State Fair:  Deep Fried Coke!

Basically a batter with coke instead of water, deep fried, then coated with cinnamon sugar, coke fountain syrup, whipped cream, and a cherry on top :lmao: at least there if fruit in it!

Also the chicken fried bacon

And then there's the fried burger:

this is very ironic since we are learning about fatty acids in chem class (and saturated and unsaturated fats, and off of that trans fats and cis fats).

Burgers fried in butter. I was afraid to ever eat one, but the frozen custard there kicks ass.

Just had a little luncheon for my friends b-day at work.  A lady made fried rice and egg rolls.  Oh.  My.  God.  Incredible.

I recently got a  Zojirushi NP-HBC18 (rice cooker). Oh my gods, it makes a world of difference with rice based meals. Totally takes it to the next level.

I've wanted to get a rice cooker.  It's really that much different?

A Zojirushi yes. I've tasted rice from cheaper ones that don't make any difference. Granted, Zojirushi is very expensive for a rice cooker. I was highly skeptical but behind nearly every great rice dish I've had has been one of their rice cookers. I finally gave in and got one and I am glad I did.

At the store.  Decided to give the $7 box of Quinoa a go.  I blame JMad if it sucks.

Yeah Japanese companies are where you go for a rice cooker.

I thought I had tomterp beat on the price thing.  Chicken breasts $3.99/lb, chicken patties $3.33/lb.  But then I saw frozen skinless breasts.  $5.20/lb in bags, but buy one
get one free so actually $2.60/lb.  Score!

I bought a Zojirushi coffee maker after seeing it get high marks in a few reviews, so far i've been quite pleased.

Get yourself a $5 jar of Walkerswood Jamaican jerk paste, a $1 bag of rice, and a little charcoal, and you are set

I'm gonna cook a weeks worth of chicken for lunches at work.  It should keep for 5 days cooked, right?

What do I do about sides?  I bought some brown rice, does it reheat ok?  How long would it keep after cooked.  It takes 40-50 minutes to cook so I'd need to cook a few days worth at a time since I don't have 50 minutes each day before work to spend cooking rice.  I've got frozen green beans to go with it.

I haven't thought about seasoning the chicken.  I've got at least a 2 week supply in the freezer.  This week I'm probably going to just use salt, pepper, and garlic powder.  Or maybe doused in hot sauce.  That jerk paste sounds awesome though, I'll have to look for that.

I need to eat more meals though.  This schedule of wake up, a few errands, work, "lunch", work, dinner, study, isn't working.  2 big meals a day isn't conducive for fat loss it seems.  Six small meals a day is the best, but how can you find time to eat that much and that often!?

I'm trying some "meal replacement shakes" at first for 2 of the meals :spaz: I hope they taste ok.
