And they can believe what they like. That doesn't change the fact that Nats fan highly covet mediocre pitching because basically, that's all we have ever known. This team really hasn't had a pitcher that has "stuck". Hill is the closest thing to that right now but only because he's been sitting on the DL and we can't toss a player on the DL.

I figure this time next year it will be nothing but our youngsters and guys we haven't gotten yet in the starting roles.

Oh, I agree with you. It's just that at this point, I've seem some of our "#4 and #5" guys pitching better than what some teams consider to be their aces. My point is that present-day performance is more important than what someone has done in the past or what someone has been labeled.

I could see Hill, Lannan, and Redding still in the rotation next season w/ the addition of a good free agent and one of our younger guys. At least that's what I'm hoping for.
