He's trying to pull everything. They're not putting stuff on the inner half to yank. He needs to lay back on those outer half fastballs and go with them to right field. He seems desparate to hit HRs.

A batter like Guzman shouldn't even be in the top 5. He's a free swinging contact hitter who almost never walks. His OBP doesn't work in the top of the order, but his contact hitting and BA can help the bottom half.

nice inning. John needs to go long into this game. I don't trust anyone in the pen, especially MacDougal and Tavarez who we are likely to see.
