This is the stuff I had.  :spaz: still making me nauseous just thinking about it.  Never again.  Should have went with the ramen.

Last time I had that crap I had the worst gout attach EVER.  HORRIBLE.

Fail.  No mix in the Jewish aisle.  All kinds of other weirdness, but no falafel.

What did they have, cow tongue, fish bone jelly, jars of chicken fat?

It really demands good pita bread, which can be a bit hard to find.  I hate the packaged stuff you find typically in the DC area, it all seems to be a bit stale which is a flavor off-note I detect readily.

I'd much rather pay premium prices to Moby Dick to get their fresh made bread, to complement my own falafel.

Sometimes you can find the real stuff in Safeway.

No cow tongue, but spot on with the rest.  Plus something called potato latkes.

Settled on some frozen pierogies.  I don't know where they come from or how they're supposed to be served, but I like to pan fry mine after thawing and dip them in sour cream.  :az:

Latkes are made of awesomesauce.

They may have had some of that too, but it was in some squiggly language I couldn't read.  The contents of the bottle sure looked strange, if that's what it was.

i like Middle East Bakery pitas. At least I think that is who makes them. They are from Beltsville and they have them at Harris Teeter.

Perfect Pita (multiple locations) makes some really good hummus, a white bean salad, tabouleh, grape leaves. Its all good. I guess their pitas are good too

Two ways- boiled, which leaves them soft, and fried, which to my tastes is much better.

do you just eat them plain or serve them with something?  One is broccoli, cheddar, and potato, the other is sweet potato.

Get whole milk greek yogurt - it's nearly the same but people won't think you are weird.

So I've heard.  Not that I'd ever actually eat sour cream with a spoon in public

a little late for that.
