Bacsik had three straight quality starts after being recalled May 20 from Triple-A, but he has struggled at times in each of his past two starts. On Sunday in Minnesota, he allowed nine hits and four earned runs over the first three innings, but kept his pitches down and didn't allow a hit in his final two frames. The team is 1-4 when Bacsik starts.

Toronto's ace rebounded nicely against the Dodgers on Sunday after enduring a rough start in his previous trip to the mound. Against Los Angeles, Halladay gave up three runs on five hits over seven innings, marking his eighth quality start of the year. The right-hander struck out two, walked three and hit one batter in the 101-pitch effort. Halladay is 4-1 with a 2.58 ERA in eight career games against Washington.
