We aren't going to finish better than the Reds.

Why not?  They have to go to St. Louis who certainly hasn't clinched anything yet, either.  Believe it or not, the Cards are a better team than the Phils who come to our place.  All we have to do is match their record.

The Cardinals will bend over for the Reds, bank on it. And the Pirates won't do anything vs Atlanta.

Let's face it, Our whole season is on John Lannan tomorrow night. :nervous:

We need him to come through and the Nats to win tomorrow so we can win the division and save Gio for game 1. Who ever would have thought it all would come down to Lannan?

Let's hope the bats have one of their big 10 run games and Lannan does well.. I'm nervous.

I hate that my mild manner protest of the decision will somehow be tied to the over reactions of other posters in this thread.

Even with today's loss, we won the season series against the Cards.

Win 2 against the Phils and we win that series too.

Not true.; We would have to sweep. Phils have an 8-7 lead on the season.

...well, as if we didn't have enough to worry about, look who the ESPN schedule has listed as tonight's starter: http://espn.go.com/mlb/team/schedule/_/name/wsh/washington-nationals

[has to be a mistake - the match preview (click start time) and the Nats official site both still say Lannan]

Wang should have NEVER been in last night's game. What is Davey thinking with that guy? :icon_question:

We should have gotten rid of CMW when he was on the DL. Trade him away and let him become some other teams "Gio". :lmao: :lmao:

The Nationals website still says Lannan.  It just can't be Wang.  That would confirm A) Rizzo's stubbornness, which is an awful trait to have, and/or B) Davey Johnson going senile.

It's Lannan.  As for Wang, he should be finished, gone, kaput!

MLB.com and Yahoo sports still have LANNAN. Only ESPN has Wang.

Lannan = :w: and DIVISION CLINCH!
Wang = Loss and having to wait one more phrackin' day and forcing Gio to clean the mess up.
