I remember that vividly...Mike Stanton's first appearance as a National.
Yep, he didn't even get to throw a pitch I believe.  He came in and made a pick-off move towards first where we clearly had the runner out and then out of no-where the umpire says balk and the game is over.

Gawd...I wish I had Peavy on my fantasy team - he's going to feast on the Nats hitters tonight.   :-[

I picked up Clay Hensley (the guy starting against Chico on Weds) for exactly that reason.  He's got a 7+ ERA but he's been good his last couple of starts and everyone knows how monumentally bad our offense is.

Just to emphasize my point, we were 1-6 vs them last yr.

Over or Under, Peavy 10 K's.

I say under.
3 up... 3 down... 3 Ks

I think Peavey's going to go over 10 Ks

Anyone who needs some comic relief during this game, here are some pictures of...

CHAD CORDERO BATTING
(including ducking out of the way of a pitch and swinging waist-high at a pitch that bounced between his feet)

I don't wanna jinx it, but i think Patterson is due for a gem. He's gonna pitch lights out but sadly Peavy is on the other side.

How's 3 for 42 in pinch hitting?  That a good one?
