It was on the road too. W&M was in the CAA Championship game last year (GMU beat them). Not a huge win but a conference road win is a conference road win. Our games next week against Northeastern and VCU are going to be sick.
W&M looked piss poor in that PSU game. Pathetic really. The CAA teams could never beat MSU or OSU. No way.
Mason beat Michigan St in 2006They also beat UNC and UCONN. I assume you mean this season? Mason is off to its best start in conference play ever. They have tied the record for best start to the season at 13-3.The future is extremely bright, and I doubt anyone can deny that.
Yes I mean this year. 2006 was a special year for GMU.
I think in the next 3-5 years they make a trip to the sweet 16. I think the future is very bright. This team is off to a better start than they were in 2006. If they win the CAA tourney, they could shock a lot of teams. I think next year can be really special, especially if they get a better schedule.
It's garbage like what WPA posted above that makes me hate Maryland. We get them shoved down our throats in the local media like they are our team or something.
I live in Virginia and always have. freak Maryland. Why should I be forced to root for them? Just because I live in the DC-Metro general area?
The GMU games are almost always televised despite what you might think. This season 21 of 29 GMU bball regular season games will be aired either locally (MASN, CSN, etc.) or nationally (ESPN, ESPN2). Starting with this Saturday's game against JMU every George Mason bball game will be televised for the rest of the year. 26 of 31 Maryland games will be televised either locally or nationally.Roughly the same for both.
That's a pretty good list ... hoping the Wiz get Blake Griffin <pray>
No superstars unlike the past drafts. Figures the season we are historically bad there are no superstars (Lebron, Rose, etc).
NoDefense (BTW, that was a bullcrap technical foul call on Harris for hanging on to the rim)
just wondering why everyone seems so butthurt because someone doesn't worship the ground Maryland basketball plays on...what's the big deal?and wow, Tom sounding might arrogant there...holy cow. almost like a Cowboys/Yankees fan there for a minute.
i think it was just the fact that sportsfan would post randomly about maryland losing and you don't see anyone posting when mason losses. honestly i don't care i'm still a fan and just love college basketball overall, but there are tons of maryland fans on here, so it's kinda trolling in an odd way.
