I smell a walk-off brewing .

They'll likely slider Moore to death.

Home:.291/.360/.500
Away: .244/.298/.389

Still a very capable team offensively. Regardless of splits. They can score and have proved against us all year long when we've played them.

Seriously, how often do dogs choke?

Also I hate bunting. But I'll allow it in this situation.

I'd like it better if the game were tied, but trailing?

Yeah, I agree.  I don't mind terribly, but it hurts the chances of going for the win.

If Espy could hit LH they wouldn't have been bunting but he can't so it's the only logical move.

Wasn't feeling contact being made in that situation.

overmatched. he didn't have a chance there.

Now the bunt looks bad in retrospect. Danny may have walked into a HR or a base hit. Davey was putting all the pressure on the Nats to deliver a clutch hit

Uh ... no. They're not. They average 6.3 runs per game at home. 3.5 on the road. The Rockies are not that great of a hitting team on the road. In fact, they're pretty poor.

The fact is that with a guy like Guthrie, the Nationals should have about 6 runs right now.

And that's why bunting can backfire, as well.

Hope Bernadina has something left in the tank.

Smart move by Betancourt to pitch around Bernadina to face an ice freaking cold Jesus Flores.

Flores has about as good as a chance of getting a hit as a relief pitcher at this point. He hasn't been seeing the ball well.
