When it's Wang against Hand, the Nationals come out on top.

Wang and Hand should have been a primetime matchup. Well I guess it could be... er has been...

I still hate the Marlins.  Any guy they throw out there pretty much shuts us down.  Struggling young vet, tired old vet, relative unknown - it doesn't really matter.

Glad we won.  Mutts just beat the Braves so we kept pace in the race for 3rd.

No surprise given the circumstances, but "shortest thread of the year"

I would have added some life, but hangovers are a nag.

Was at the game.  Just got back after terrible traffic on I-66 and dropping kids off at respective events.

Glad we won. It was exciting.  A little too close.  An insurance run would have been nice.

300 Level was fine ... especially for the price.

And weather was perfect - not hold and not cold.

A bunch of concessions were closed however.   Not sure if because of small crowd or near end of year or a combination of both.

Wang would be disappoint.

Comparative dates on which the Nationals notched their 72nd win, each season:

2005 - 5th September (138th match of season)
2011 - 18th September (151st match)
2007 - 26th September (159th match - one win left)
[2006 - finished 71-91]
[2010 - finished 69-93]
[2008 - finished 59-102]
[2009 - finished 59-103]

Two more wins and this year's edition clinches the record for best Nats team since the '05 Overachievers...it has already clinched the record for best Nats Park-based Nationals team ever.

He's used to it by now.

Stumbled into Old Chelsea downing pints in the Porch.  Poached seats for the last couple of innings right in front of Minty and his son, and those seats - wow.  15' from where Livan holds court.

And a game thread victory for TT, my first of the season!

Though, I wish someone had renamed it or superceded it, I posted in haste and should have used a different wording.
