It depends on the player. They usually get to either keep it or if it's the player's favorite bat they get another one of his bats in its place.

Thats cool i would've loved to get one of them wooden bats. we had to used alumin bat s back in hs. They're cool and all, but i've always hit better with wood rather than the steel.

Aren't the wooden bats more expensive?

we need to get back to small ball. I would've loved to seen Kearns bunted after the Young double.

wow, just so bad.  whenever we have long ABs the end result is only an out.
Tigers leadoff single = 3 runs
Nats leadoff double = zero runs and no advancement of the runner

lead-off single of course..

that was a good pitching sequnce tho. He could'nt have pitched Sheff any better. Jammed him outside pretty well, Zims jsut couldn't get to it.

single of course.. our starting pitching is sucking again now that our bullpen is pitching well.  Bergmann coming back is huge, but we still need Hill and JP.

Man, it's hard when Mags comes up.  I need production for my fantasy team, but I really don't want him to hurt the Nats   >:(

Everything turns out right for them.

Somebody in the Tigers organization has sold their soul to the devil.

7-0.. freaking disaster.  our top 2 starters have gotten absolutely lit up over the last 2 games.  normally these "aces" of our staff would both be #5 pitchers.

It just doesn't get any more embarrassing than this.  Down by 8 early last night and down by 7 already tonight.  Earlier in the season when we were falling behind early we would go down 3-0, 2-0 not 7-0 or 9-1 like the past 2 games.

Even the radio announcers said that was a good pitching seqeunce. He got all the pitches want to sheff. Sheff jsut made a good swing. The ball was jsut one step outta of Zims grasp.

We face the Indians this weekend who have a very similar offense to the Tigers. This is going to be one tough week; after watching these two games I hope we can just win 1 game out of the 6.  I'm sure glad we don't play in the AL East or AL Central, that would be ugly having to play these teams 16 times a year.  It will be nice to get back on the road next week in Atlanta and Pittsburgh.

Sure they're good but they don't do this every night guys. We can't use that as an excuse for weak pitching.

After the way he's pitched tonight, it's the least he do to eat some innings! Good thing the Tigers don't get to use their DH this series
