so what happens to Lombo when Morse comes back?  It doesn't look like Davey is going to favor Lombo over Danny, especially the way Espinosa is hitting as of late, but man we really need Lombo at the top of the lineup.

My thought is that Danny basically has until Morse is back to get his act together.  I think he keeps his job if his OPS  .800 between now and then.  Otherwise, he is gets to play only v. righties, at best.

Quite simply, they should platoon. Lombo hits righties from the left side well, Espi hits lefties from the right side well.

Play Lombo in sequence at LF, 3B, and 2B, then a day off. Morse should not be pushed to play every day, and Ryan Z might have a lingering shoulder problem. Give them a rest every few days.

Lombo is the only leadoff hitter on the team.

Go ahead and draw me up a scenario where some metric shows me his predicted success, I don't care. 

I'm rooting for the guy and I really want him to do well but his success coincided with a move to 1B and he's going to come back playing a different position.  I would like to see some results before we declare the offense as "fixed" just because Morse came off the DL.
