I just had my son go get me one.   Children are great to have around.  :)     Except he's going back to VCU in January and my bank account will be drained.

I'd also say that trading for four years of arbitration with a good left handed starter isn't exactly the cheapest way out either.

Hell of a lot cheaper than Burleyeye.

STOP MAKING SENSE

I knew you'd love that, I was shocked you hadn't come out and made that argument yet yourself :lmao:

What else can he do. The timing of the column made Bos look stupid. There he is saying that the Lerners are stopping the baseball people from pulling off trades the very day they pull off one of the biggest trades in the team's history.

Wrong.  You no more know that the article DIDN'T influence the trade than we know it DID.  Hypocrisy, woo!

The thing is, this trade doesn't prove LAC or LANC. It really makes no difference to the Lerners (4 million, but not really a difference)

SANITY

yeah MDS you haven't been around THAT long.

when LAC was born, there really wasn't a LANC ... it was more LAC vs. LAiC vs. everyone else.

now LANC is our enemy and it is weakening by the second.  their leader PA has nothing on the LAC!

Let's throw it against the wall and see if it sticks.

Right, but that only makes it better.  I don't know how PA took it, but my point was the trade did at least require a financial commitment.  He'll be the highest paid member of the rotation, won't he?

RIP Florida Rock tower, demolished to make way for mixed use development.  Offices, apartments, retail, and a hotel.  To bad it will block the nighttime views of the river but it will sure look a lot better in the daytime.

I have to think that discussions had to be long underway between the teams long before either Boz's column or the trade leak.

Didn't know where else to put it unless there is a ballpark area thread.  Plus, development is a good thing, makes the whole area look better, good teams play in nice areas, leads to positive Natitude.

Certainly, but the question is whether the leaks had any influence over the final decision.

the old boilermaker house (they would play movies there during the summer a couple years ago) is going to open up this year featuring shops, food joints, bars, etc.  can't wait!!!!!!!

Love the idea of a ballpark area thread or a general ballpark thread. I know there's a ballpark thread up there but that was for questions for the Nats guy.

The thread could be a place to share updates on the area/places to eat/drink; ballpark updates, deals, tips; suggestions for ballpark improvements; and so on.

Maybe with a sticky. Even at the Red Loft area would work.
