MiO is freaking awesome.  They just got it in at the We Is in my town.  I wanted to try the fruit punch but it was sold out.  I got the sweet tea flavor and the berry pomegranate flavor.

I didn't think I'd like the berry pomegranate as much, but it is really good.  I like to add it lightly to my water bottle.  Not a full fledged flavor, but just a bit of flavor instead of what you get if you use the packets like Crystal Lite.

The tea is OK but I went by color and ended up putting too much in the first time.  When I finish the berry pomegranate I have now, I'll refill my bottle at the fountain again and try the tea again.

I like it because I don't want to turn my water into sugar free Kool Aid.  I just want to give it a bit of flavor, which MiO allows me to do.

They were out of the fruit punch and I thought they were out of the tea too, but I found a bottle behind a bunch of peach tea ones.  I didn't get the peach tea or peach mango since I'm usually not big on those flavors in Crystal Lite, but I might have to give them a go next time.

Oh, also, they are calorie free for anyone wondering.

The strawberry-watermelon is also really good, though not on the same level as the berry pomegranate.  The fruit punch is really my favourite though.

By the way, in my adventures to sw Virginia I discovered this:

Yeah, I think the MiO tea just doesn't cut it.

Had a Boylan's Birch Beer for lunch today, pretty damn good. They say it's their flagship product, dating from the 1800's.

Throwback drinks use real sugar instead of fructose cornsyrup.  COKE sold around the Jewish holidays is that way.  I guess it has to use natural sugar to be kosher?
 :icon_question:

You can also buy coke bottled in Mexico around here that is made with real sugar. I noticed a few months ago that Costco now carries it by the case.

Capitol City Brew has their own root beer which was exceedingly good. The 'designated driver' drink.

Yes we did. Good basic food- had wings and rings for appetizers, and burgers for lunch. Their Prohibition Porter was great; the Coffee Stout too sweet for me. Nice place....we liked it, and only a 1/2 block from Union Station.

Driving in I asked a cop where public parking was, he said anywhere I want since it was the weekend, and since the car has handicapped tags (Mom). So parked in the closest spot to the station anyone could possibly have!

MelloYello ordinaire seems to be making a bit of a comeback too (successor to Vault?)...they have it in one of the rank of drink machines in the Pentagon City car park (at the end of the passageway just before you get to the stairway leading to Champps and beyond).

I used to get the safeway brand of crystal lite lemonade. I picked up the cranberry pom flavor last time and it's awesome. I've also noticed a certain baseball cat likes it with club soda and stoli...so guess it quits being a soft drink then.....

Does that mean you wake up with the cat sniffing your mouth a lot?

Isn't that what hung-over Scots wash down their deep-fried chocolate bars with?

Coming late to this thread, but Coke made with cane sugar, not that HFCS crap, is the best.  The Passover Coke is pretty good but it's not made with cane sugar or HFCS.  They come with yellow caps & are sold during Passover (duh)

Then comes Rapsberry Coke, then Lime Coke.  They aren't sold in bottles, as far as I know.  They only come in the Coke Freestyle Machine!!  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freestyle_%28Coca-Cola%29

Unfortunately I don't drink anymore but I have a bottle for friends.  She really loves to smell it when we get it out though.

Totally awesome.  I feel like I'm eight years old again.
