I think Stairs lives in Bangor.  Still, that is one long haul for a studio gig.

The further Stairs stays from D.C. the better.

So we can expect stairs to just sit there and not say anything?

"A viewer email from Bill in foxboro asks, 'how much video do you guys look at?  do you find it helps hitters much?  what if it is shot from a special camera angle?'

"Matt, you want to take a swing at that?"

"No, can I just look at the incoming?"

that's cool to hear.

i like coffey and will be rooting for him.  he needs to improve against lefties, but against righties he was very good for us.

our pen is so good this year too btw.

Oh man, that's too bad.  We loved watching Coffey run in with the Ultimate Warrior theme blasting and then mow down fools.  One of my coworkers ran into him at the SizEx across from the stadium and said he was super nice and Teddy Bear like. They couldn't get over his odd accent (North Cackalacka).

:phew: I never liked watching him play. It was painful every time he faced a lefty and that sprint crap got tiresome fast.

Disregard he was a solid pitcher out of the pen, though?

He was alright. Call me selfish if you want but there are other pitchers I'd rather watch so I won't be mourning his going elsewhere. He had a bad aura and is expendable. ;)

He is a righty specialist.  He is what he is.  Most hitters are righties.  He is reliable against righties in tight spots when they are the players who will not be pulled for pinch hitters or when you want to drive an opposing team to waste a pinch hitter.  There was and is value in that.  That said, I'd rather have Lidge and HRod for less.  Good luck to him.  May he ensure no wild card comes from the West.

Aura and Mystique are famous in baseball since Curt Schilling spilled the beans on that duo.
