God, I would love to sweep the Phillies in their home park. Would love to get to them really early, keep the fans out of the game, then have them boo their own players.

It would be awesome.

Not against Hamels. The only run we could muster off him last time was via Harper stealing home. We need Edwin Jackson to be picture perfect tonight to have a chance.

Cole is better than Roy at this stage of their careers.

The Nats haven't gotten a sweep all year. Why would tonight against their Ace and on National TV be any different?

haha stop making it a big deal that the nats are on national TV.  the nats didn't lose to the phils/os because they were on espn/fox.  they lost because detwiler was so awful on saturday night and against the phillies the nats bats couldn't get hits (which isn't anything of a shocker).

The Plan to Sweep the Phillies
1. The only reason ESPN-2 (Every Soapo-Pera Now Too) is televising this game is because Cole Hamels was suspended for 5 games, after openly admitting that he intentionally hit Bryce Harper with a pitch.
2. Bryce Harper should crowd the plate tonight, lean into the first pitch from Cole Hamels... and get hit, to the cheers of the unwashed Philthies crowd.
3. Cole Hamels will immediately be EJECTED from the game, in the 1st inning, after the 2nd batter (Harper.)
4. ESPN gets the story it really wants.
5. MLB suspends Hamels for 10 games this time.
6. The last fine on Hamels was estimated to effectively exceed $440,000.  Add $880,000 to that and Hamels' wifey may consult a divorce lawyer.
