I'm from Bath in the Finger Lakes Region and Thank You for the welcome.
Hello, John. I live in NYC, and have for about 40 years, but I grew a Nats fan and never gave up. Yankees are my alternate team, especially the classic late-90s Yankees. Bernie, Jeter, Hip-Hip Jorge, Paulie, Mo, and even Brosius...an underrated guy who merely made the plays and got hits when all the pressure was on. It's hard to feel the same attachment to the latest Yankees, although I like Gardner and Cano.
If you can get to Harrisburg, the Senators should have an interesting team. The high-A Potomac Nats have been good, and a few fan-favorites should graduate to Harrisburg. Keep an eye on Destin Hood and Eury Perez, just for two OFs. The "second wave" of young pitchers should be moving up to AA. Further, the games are inexpensive and the seats are all great. We sat behind a dugout (second row) and could see the sweat on players' faces as they came off the field.
Syracuse? This might not be their year, since three good young pitchers and "the catcher of the future" were traded to Oakland for Gio. There is enough pitching depth in the organization that it shouldn't hurt.
Check the Minors sub-section for players to note.
