I'm not sure what the publicly financed ballpark has to do with this game not being available on TV for a large percentage of local residents, but it's still a load of crap, making people scramble to figure out alternative means of getting the feed.

Something about looking out for locals after they spend a few hundred million on coperate welfare?  Grey gas no clout though (remember when the NFL tried this during the Patriots undefeated season?)

@dcsportsbog FEMA acquisition employees just received a memo granting early leave to avoid Nats fans traffic clogging rush hour. #Natitude

Since 2006 DC has had four teams end the season with the best record in their league only to choke in the playoffs.  The United in 2006 and 2007, the Caps in 2010, and now the Nats in 2012.  freaking cursed.

So I got booed for leaving early today and I'm reading a bunch of posts on Twitter about people leaving early.  I left in the top of the ninth, the game was over, Davey would have left had that been an option.  I'm just surprised how many people stayed as long as they did.  Virtually no one left until the 8th when the Cards scored their 8th run, at which point maybe 5% headed toward the door.  When the Nats answered with nothing in the bottom of the ninth I'm guessing that close to a third of the fans took off.  If the team is going to stink up the ballpark like they did today I don't have any interest in staying to the final out to watch that crap.

----------------

On the way down the street I noticed that I'd dropped my Natitude towel, I turned around a spotted it, but kept walking, my Natitude was gone.

Another random note as I recover from the afternoon:

I shook hands with Robin Ficker!!! That was awesome!  I was standing outside the front gate getting a pregame hot dog when he stepped in front of me.  I told him that I was a big fan and that I copied his "Let Steve Decide" signs for my daughters to carry to a game.  Some people get juiced to meet ballplayers, for me it's hecklers.

No free programs today, guess they want people to buy them, would have been a nice souvenir.

Cubs fans just sit in an unemployed drunken stupor for an hour after the last out until the blue buses with wire mesh windows line up at the stadium to take them back to their halfway houses.

Not sure why the posts about the email for the World Series presale were moved either, but it's now made the Post and Yahoo blogs:

So when do you think they will reimburse single game NLCS ticket purchases?

I doubt Olympic synchronized swimmers can hold their breath that long.

They said one week after the season is over, so hopefully before next weekend.  I'm struggling to figure out why they couldn't have had this done Saturday morning and also why they are still holding on to my money for the wild card and tie breaker games.

You betcha, they've got the money in one of those sweeps accounts where they invest it overseas every night.

Another few days of interest spread across thousands of tickets,  some selling for hundreds- all told maybe it funds a lunch at the Palm for Lerner and Boras
