Why is Suzuki just getting the nod at catcher in all these mock lineups I'm seeing? If Ramos is healthy, he should be our guy behind the plate.
Also because Suzuki is a stud.
Chipotle, burritos, etc... moved to the red loft "food and how to cook and eat it" thread. Tom
Not really.
Yea really. Even if you take his Washington numbers, he OPS'd .725. Which would be good for about 15th place (out of 18 catchers with a minimum of 400 ABs. Offensively, he's nothing special. Defensively, according to the metrics, he's in the middle. He's hardly "a stud"
So for catchers, Molina, Posey, and Mauer. Maybe Montero
That's all well and good Kev, but I would trade Rendon and Suzuki in a heartbeat for any of the guys I mentioned
Suzuki was huge for us and I am glad he'll be the starter on opening day. He deserves it.
Kurt Suzuki had a higher OPS (with us) than Montero last season, but sure, bro.
I didn't even see your reply, I thought it was mad. Your trades aren't happening, I don't see the point in going down this road. Suzuki was huge for us and I am glad he'll be the starter on opening day. He deserves it.
Not to back Slate, but there is another catcher with the last name Montero who had a much better year than Suzuki with the bat.
Miguel Montero: .286/.391/.438/.829Kurt Suzuki: .267/.321/.404/.725Never said they would. Wasn't seriously considering them. I just reject the notion of calling Suzuki a "stud"He's a good back up. He's a serviceable starter.
You're right, I totally forgot about Miguel. My bad. Was thinking you meant Jesus Montero
