I'm not into all that kicking though.

I just want to learn some of those submissions. Flying knees to the face are pretty awesome, too.

2nd post in this Gameday thread:
Martis is going to get smashed

 this should have been a blowout win for the Nats and they are going to lose handily.
bad pitching, bad defense, and bad offense. same old story.

So did you mean that Martis was going to be drinking heavily during the game, but win anyway?

I don't like the submission stuff either. I prefer the slugging and defense of boxing.

Willingham, Dunn, and Kearns might be the slowest/most unathletic players in all of baseball.

Belliard is the slowest player in any sport.

it's just selfish AB after selfish AB.

2-0 count and Dunn hits a little weak roller to second base.

freak these losers

Dude, that was a GREAT pitch.

Lead-off hit by RZ and then three of the worst ABs you will ever see.

It took me a while to get into it, but I like MMA a lot more than boxing now. I still love boxing, though.

have you seen how many runners we have left on base and runs we have just given away for free to the O's?

We should be up 10-2.

i'm so sick of hearing Dibble rave about Dunn almost playing QB at Texas. i can't fathom that. for one, he has NO MOBILITY and two, his arm is pathetic.

then why the freak did he swing at it? 2-0 count. you can't pull a sinker. everyone but RZ pulled off that inning and the results were predictable.

It didn't take the Freaking Awesome Guy long to get back into the swing of trolling. A name change, a name change back, a day or two of behaving moderately and he's back to his old ways. I guess some "habits" are hard to kick.  ;)

I think Minty probably means it was a nice pitch to hit and he just missed it.

He's a lefty.  It was a sinker that moved down and away from him like a screwball.  It was a great pitch and his bat shattered.  Give the O's pitcher a bit of credit.

you can't pull a sinker moving down and away from you. have to go up the middle or to the opposite field.

RZ showed in that inning how you should approach a sinker baller. too bad the next 3 guys did exactly what you don't want to do.

As you said, it was 2-0.  He probably wasn't thinking sinker.  He probably thought he got a fat one and he thought wrong.  Not many pitchers have the huevos to throw sinker on 2-0.  The fact that he shattered his bat tells me it went off the end of the bat.  That = Great Pitch.

I don't give credit to pitchers for a bat being shattered.  I give credit to the dumbass players who believe that a maple bat gives them superhuman powers, against all evidence to the contrary.  As if there's some benefit to shattering a bat once a game.

We were the first team to 50 and we'll probably be the first team to 60, 70, 80, 90, 100 and maybe the only team to 110.  :?

I was talking more to the point that he made a great pitch - not that he shattered a bat.
