It's starting to pour here in Woodbridge...on it's way to Washington soon.

Too late to stop this ass whipping though. Here comes Cordero to contribute to the massacre.

Maybe it will keep his ass from making boneheaded mistakes in the basepaths.

He is a bum anyway.

AZ has competition.

Chief is throwing his fastball at the speed of most pitchers' change-ups.

We are a total joke.

We are facing one of the few aces in the league, though. Even if we don't come back in this one, it's more important that the guys don't let that get to their heads and throw a very winnable game tomorrow. This was one I didn't really expect us to win.

Should be a good time for his first career start in the Majors. At home and against a horrifically bad Pirates team.

No one expected us to win tonight.  If we lose tomorrow I'll be ticked.  No excuse not to win this series after that dramatic win last night. Tomorrow's game is the difference of being 4-3 on this homestand and 8 games under .500 or 3-4 on the homestand and 10 games under .500.  Huge game.

Soto Ks on an 82 MPH fastball. 0/7 with 7 Ks so far against our pitchers this series.  He's a beast!  :worship:

I was more of a realist than an optimist today. :D

And here comes sportsfan w/ his "What do you think about Soto now, Ronny" talk.

This team is a bit of a joke:

Start off the season 3-0, go on a nine game losing streak, can't find our bats, signed a worthless fat man to a 2 year $10 million deal, our LF starts crying, our 4th outfielder is shoveling hippo crap in Tampa, our injured catcher says squirrels are better than themselves...

Are they trying to write the script to Major League 4 or what?

somebody wave a rally monkey or something...

They're selling these at the Nationals store at the stadium; I bought one. (Also sold at Modell's on-line).  It has Velcro on the hands and feet, so you can wear it (as the Nats vendor was doing.)

You can counter by saying he garnered enough respect to force the Nats to intentionally walk him last night.

You can also add:
-Our closer's fastball is topping out in the low 80s.
-Our #3-4-5 hitters are all hitting under .230

Manny has really got to stop intentionally walking batters. I can't remember even 1 time where it has helped us.  We should never load the bases on purpose considering how much trouble our pitchers have throwing strikes.

BTW, Nina Totenberg, from Inside Washington, was sitting behind me at the game the other night and she couldn't give a **** about what was happening on the field (and even said as much).
