Try IE9.
I've tried every browser on my computer.  IE(I believe it's 9), Chrome and Firefox.  I get that message with all of them.

anyone know anything about Linux Mint?

probably about to receive an old computer, and I may need to put Linux on it. not sure if i should do Mint or Ubuntu.

I'm wondering if Windows Live stuff plays nice with Linux in any capacity. particularly skydrive and Office Web Apps such.

Mint is an Ubuntu variant.  I haven't played with it for a while, but it was basically Ubuntu with a light green color scheme instead of brown and orange, a bit more windows-y UI, and the non-OSS stuff included that you'd have to manually install on Ubuntu like flash and MP3 support.

I got another laptop.

I was using the CR-48, but now I have a Dell Inspiron 1545.

debating on putting either Linux Mint or Ubuntu on it, since this install of Vista is bogged down with crap and I don't have a Vista cd anyway.

can't decide between the two linux distros.

supposedly its comparable in quality to regular home internet providers.

anyone know about it?

The at home/roaming deal seems like a no-brainer.

I know somewhere in here, there is a joke, but for the life of me, I can't point it out.

what was the point of quoting a more-than-a-year old post, in a thread whose most recent post was yesterday?

32-bit system can't* use more than 4GB of RAM.  For most people, that's really the only difference.  That said, there's no reason NOT to buy a 64-bit system anymore (or 64-bit OS, rather, since almost everything on the market now is 64-bit capable)

64 bit Linux browser plugins are a pain in the butt.

My computer randomly shutdown/restarted today and went straight to the system repair screen. It constantly does this and will never turn on. Something is wrong with my computer it seems. How can I fix this?

Last time that happened to me I had a ridiculous deadline so I bought a new computer. I still haven't fixed the old one :(

Power supply or motherboard, if I'm guessing blind.  Do you have any warranty left on it?

If it's just restarting, definitely a possibility.  If it's actually shutting off, I would lean towards power/mobo.

Its not constantly restarting. Its just trying to load up Windows and it immediately goes to the system recovery operation. In the system recovery it says it cannot repair computer automatically. I have no idea whats happening.

I may have also freaked up a bit. I was trying to see if its possible to install windows from a USB so I attempted to reformat my usb on my computer using the cmd prompt in the system recovery options... I did CLEAN but to my C drive... :(O. Does that automatically screw my drive over or if I reinstall Windows 7 will it configure the drive? (The drive is also the one thats just there, not my actual hard drive)

So from diskpart then?  If you did clean from diskpart on your disk, then you lost your crap.  I mean I suppose there are ways to get it back, but I wouldn't be sure how.

Reinstalling windows should be able to repartition and set up a new partition table and everything should be fine though.  Also, it is possible to install from a USB.

Idk what this means:

How do I install from USB? I really wanna make this work.

What I meant by that is its the drive that has all of the Windows stuff on it. Like, I don't know what to call it but when I go to my computer there is two drives: A C that seems to just have windows files on it and a D drive that's a TB and its where I saved all my stuff.
