If you're on a GSM carrier, I'd say teh Nexus 4.  Or whatever the next Nexus phone is.  Stock android with easy rooting can't be beat IMO.

tried touchwiz lately? It's blasphemy, but I think samsung is starting to pass stock nexus (especially since stock means no SD card or removable battery)

I have a removable battery   I actually replaced it with a larger capacity one.  As far as SD card that's true, but I have 32GB of storage which is more than enough for apps.  Music and movies I just stream.

I thought the nexus es were non removable. Battery now.  I couldnt go without a removable card -  sesame Street when we travel plus books on tape music photos etc... Not to mention is the easiest way to move files between a computer

The Nexus 4 may be non-removable, but the Galaxy Nexus (what I have) is removable.  Nothing about it being a Nexus requires a non-removable battery though I don't know about SD cards.

Galaxy 4 or get the 3 real cheap. I think that the upgrades are marginal.

Ok, I'm going to be putting my Droid X to rest and I'm upgrading to a Droid RAZR M. It has some good reviews, and I like that it seems to be as tough as my old phone.

Anyone on here own it? Do you like it?

Get the SG3, a much better phone and it should be cheap with the SG4 coming out next month.

The SG3 is still $200 from my provider, I doubt it'd drop anywhere below $100 after the announcement. It does look like a slick phone (my roommate has the S2), but I have doubts that it'd fit in my front pockets.

Thanks for the suggestions though! My Droid RAZR M is in the mail now, however. I wish I had the luxury to wait for a price drop but my Droid X is falling out of condition pretty quick. Only thing is that I lose my unlimited data plan through Verizon  :'( not like I really went over 2GB/month with it though...

That sucks that you can't wait,  my guess is sg4 goes to $199 (same as iPhone 5) with the sg3 at $99 (same as 4s)

It served me well for almost 3 years, and I'm happy with it, considering the terrifying amount of abuse it received. It's mostly call issues - people are having trouble hearing me and I really get a bad connection in my apartment (we'll see if a new phone makes a difference). I'm also having issues with the phone not ringing when I get a call, but I think that MIGHT be an Android issue, not a Droid X issue.

Ok, got my Droid Razr M... I love it. It's actually smaller than my Droid X despite having the same screen size, making it really compact. The screen itself is just dazzling, very bright and great definition. The microphone/connection seems to be much better, as the people I've called can hear quite a difference.

It was annoying to install the sim card, however, and activating the phone was difficult. I don't control the account, and I didn't have the billing code or other information needed to activate the phone. When I called Verizon (twice, first told me I needed the code, second time when I had obtained it) they were very kind concerning my problems, so that made me happy. However actually CONNECTING with customer service was hard, I could not call them directly (busy signal) but I was able to get to them by calling the local Verizon store and going through them.

Also, we accidentally ordered the wrong color. I wanted to exchange the white phone I got for a black one. However they wanted a $35 restocking fee at my local store, which I refused. The employee looked bummed that he couldn't help me, but I'm not going to pay that much to exchange a $50 phone. The white looks fine, it'll grow on me.

I'm not a true psychobilly guy.  I got Galaxy 500 off of a friend's 50th birthday compilation put together by his kids (songs of his they liked).  I probably could not tell you too many other songs by the Reverend.  I am a bit eclectic, but i kind of insist that the song either has musicianship or a singer.  Not much for dancers who mouth to tracks, or record songs that are carried by someone else's recording.
