Still it is unbelievable that the Rangers were able to waive Cruz off their roster in 2008 and no one claimed him (he went on to be PCL MVP that year).
He had given them negative WAR in three stints prior to that but it is amazing that his breakout came at 28/29 (Werth/Morse?) and he's given them 10 WAR in just over 2 seasons.
