looks like Terminator is indeed cooked, PA.

Quote
Resist the urge to nuke the messenger, but multiple sources are telling me that Fox will not be renewing Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles for a third season.

"It's done," maintains a source close to the show. "Everyone has pretty much known for a couple of weeks." Adds a network insider: "Consider it canceled."

The one bright spot? Despite horrific ratings, Fox isn't ready to declare SCC dead and buried -- at least not officially. "No decision has been made yet," insists a network rep. "We will be announcing our fall schedule on May 18."

From what I am also reading, Fringe will not get a second season.

Everything he said with the exception of The Shield (never seen it) and slot in there How I Met Your Mother, IMO.

The Wire is the greatest show I have ever seen

Agreed on The Wire. I went to The Shield looking for something like The Wire. It's pretty good, but doesn't compare.

I'll check out How I Met Your Mother.

Crappity crap crap. They should have never let them mess with the Terminator story line with a TV show. Now it's all messed up with a cliffhanger, and they'll have to pretend it's an alternate timeline like they did with that garbage movie Terminator 3.

[sportsfan] Why does everyone hate on T3 so much? [/sportsfan]

But seriously...  it definitely pales in comparison to the other two, but I didn't think it was THAT bad.

It's been officially written out of the canon. It was a spur on the timeline. You'd have to say that makes it bad.

According to whom?  I didn't think Terminator had a canon-lord like Lucas is to Star Wars.

The TV series would not be possible if T3 had taken place. Also, timelines split off during the course of the series (Derek Reese's girlfriend comes back from a different timeline than he did).

Not that I don't watch much network TV, but the only current shows listed in this thread so far that I've ever seen even briefly are:

- Nats Baseball/MLB Baseball - much more than briefly
- SNL - a long. long time ago regular viewer - now am surprised to find out guys like Adam Sandler and Will Ferrell were regulars and find out from YouTube clips that they were on SNL
- Daily Show - watched for the first time a couple weeks ago - laughed my *ss off
- Dancing with the Starts - my wife Watches it and I sometimes get 2nd-hand viewing passing through the family room
- Burn Notice - see Dancing with the Starts
- Judge Judy - maybe 10 times when I was mentally fried and just needed something non-cerebral and Wolf Blitzer wasn't on

The only other ones I've even heard of, but have never seen:
- Lost - Emily has me set the DVR for her when she's out
- Weeds - Emily bought a DVD set when we were on a trip to DC a couple months ago
- 24
- The Office
- South Park
- American Idol
- 2 1/2 Men

I think House is a show that 90% of people would enjoy. It's about the most brilliant diagnostic doctor in America who is a totally unbearable person. Hugh Laurie is a brilliant actor, and a very good musician at that.

If it has good writing/acting and directing chances are it's gone. But you can watch shows about overweight people running track.  :spaz:

I know there are some Will Farrell fans on here, he's hosting SNL again this week.  Last time he hosted it was like going back in time, so I'm expecting the same thing here.

All four comedies I believe have season finales, with a possible series finale for My Name is Earl.
