LeCroy got fed up with mental blunders Eury Perez has been making and sat him down tonight.  Hopefully he can pull things together, but he hasn't been keeping his head in the game much so far this season.

Kevin Goldstein ‏ @Kevin_Goldstein

The Nationals signed 2B Jim Negrych, a former star at Pitt and sixth-round pick by the Pirates in 2006.

His minor league stats look excellent. I wonder what the deal is with him.

Man, Kobernus has ridiculous speed.  Steals second and third in the 3rd for steals 8 and 9 on the season.  Has walked twice so far as well.

Rosenbaum is looking awesome tonight.  Sinker really working for him, the other team is having tons of trouble making good contact.  Still hasn't let up a walk this season and is looking like he could go the distance if they let him tonight.

Solid #5 potential. Lannan replacement. Much cheaper, more Ks?

83 pitches through 8.  Still hasn't let up a walk through three starts.  No action in the bullpen, looks like they will let him go for the CG (only run was from an error).

Rosenbaum has to be most polished SP in our system.

Nah.

Peacock is a big arm.

Rosenbaum is more Lannan like.

Rosenbaum is a guy with excellent command of his fastball.  His sinker is his bread and butter, but his changeup is a plus pitch too.  I'm don't like comparisons, but he does have the potential to be a solid back end of the rotation type.  I've seen him live twice and a handful of times on milb.tv, all but once (struggled locating his fastball) he was impressive.  Agree with SF that he is probably the most polished pitching prospect they have in AA or AAA right now.  Very good demeanor on the mound as well.

Corey Brown with a dinger over the LF wall.  His first home run of the season (and the first Syracuse HR by someone not named Moore) gives Syracuse the lead, 5-4.

Audio broadcast is available for those looking for filler at work...

Excellent showing by Martin to stop the bleeding after 5 straight baserunners by Pawtucket.  2 Ks and a groundout to the Sox top 3 hitters.

They're hitting a ton of doubles in the direction of Moore. Not listening to the broadcast... is this more a function of them hitting it where he isn't... or is he taking bad routes and missing cutting off singles?

Seems more like bad routes from what the announcer is saying, though coincidentally a lot of them are getting hit in his direction.  Sounds like Harper may also be cheating a little towards LF to back him up, which he has had to do on a few plays already.

Implosion by the Sox Andrew Miller.  Has walked the bases loaded.  8 batters so far, 8 3 ball counts... yikes.  But somehow he escapes with zero damage

Typical Andrew Miller, man what a bust. Great arm, no control.

Moore can't field but he's 3/3 with a Double, 3 RBIs, and a walk.

This is a rehab outing for Miller.  I'm guessing they end his rehab and say he has reinjured his pride.

Mike Ballard, the other guy acquired in the Gio trade, is spinning a good game at AA tonight.  So far, 6 IP, 3 H, 1 BB, 8 SO, 0 ER.  Only 78 pitches

That was Gilliam. Ballard signed minor league deal as a FA.
