A Zojirushi yes. I've tasted rice from cheaper ones that don't make any difference. Granted, Zojirushi is very expensive for a rice cooker. I was highly skeptical but behind nearly every great rice dish I've had has been one of their rice cookers. I finally gave in and got one and I am glad I did.
Yeah Japanese companies are where you go for a rice cooker.
