It took a bit longer than we're used to but Harper finally adjusted there. Just barely missed giving us the lead back.

Harper waits and takes a couple of pitches this time and then hits a long fly ball out.  Frustrating!

This is what happens when your mong of a GM doesn't invest in hitting.

Hard as it is to believe, if Desmond fields a ball and flips it 10 feet to his left we would still be tied.  Or, if Tyler gets to that ground ball we are ahead.    Or, if AROD was in the lineup today, Chavez wouldn't be hurting us with his glove and bat.

Davey seems content to lose this series.

It's only hard to believe if you're reading through this gameday thread. They'll have you believe the Yankees are making us looking like a minor league team instead of being in a one run game that is entirely due to poor defense.

Or if Davey had walked the #8 hitter.  That's the biggest reason we're losing right now.

Pettite dutifully flied out, which would have saved the run from scoring if Chavez had been walked.  The Yankees fans would have exclaimed that the National League should use the DH.

Charlie is as bad as Bob at calling fly balls, jeez

Just a measly fly ball.

And now 2 outs on 2 pitches :?

That was his best swing and contact in days and it went to warning track.  Something wrong with that boy.
