The Redskins are going to have to address the NT position. Barry Coefield is not a legit NT. He gets pushed around by centers too frequently and NT's should not allow that to happen. I don't see how they have survived with such little QB pressure from the front 7. Probably due to the fact that they have played bad teams during the winning streak. (Weeden was horrendous in Sunday's game.) Baltimore and NY are not playing well. Philly and Cleveland suck. Dallas was the only team they beat during the streak that has been on a semi roll themselves. On the good front, Rob Jackson is starting to show signs of perhaps becoming a playmaker.
It's clear that Cousins is more advanced at reading defenses than Griffin at this point. Probably due to the systems they ran in college. They use more routes (that was evident even way back when Cousins played against Atlanta). Garcon ran a curl route that I had not seen under Griffin yet. They ran the traditional Shanahan system on Sunday. The good news is that Griffin has started to show progression in reading defenses and running the more conventional NFL system. This also means that as Griffin progresses in that regard he is only going to be even more lethal for defenses to defend.
Liechtensteiger is in the top ten in penalties against.
That has to stop. It sucks that Montgomery got hurt in such an inconsequential part of the game. It happened as they were running out the clock. The microphones actually caught Cousins asking him as they walked to the line of scrimmage if he was OK and told him that if he wasn't OK he should get down on the ground. Montgomery tried to play through it but after snapping the ball he could not put weight on the knee and basically limped through the play.
Can someone on the coaching staff tell these moron WR's to stop freaking spinning the ball every time they catch a freaking pass!
Garcon's spin cost the team 15 yards on Sunday and that may be costly in a close game.
