It's almost as if he's trying to prove he can be even worse than we already think he is.  Like he's saying to us, "Oh YEAH?  So you think a .190 BA and a penchant for rally-killing double plays isn't bad enough?  WELL HOWSABOUT A COUPLE OF CLUTCH FIELDING ERRORS FOR YOU TOO, HUH?  WHADDYA THINK OF THEM APPLES, EH?"

Putz.

Very Good Analogy Esoteric.

Ouch that was a nasty inning.

Glad it's over, now if the Nats can just get things going again offensively and work on that pitching and defense a bit...

Can somebody please describe for me how we didn't score with the bases loaded and 1 out before?  I missed it.  Thanks in advance.

Kim threw a wild pitch close enough to dust off the letters on Wilkerson's jersey, the pitch "caromed off the backstop" (radio speak, dunno what exactly they mean) and Schneider, thinking Wilkerson had been hit by pitch, started to stroll home.  By the time he realized what happened, they already had him in the rundown for the second out.  Then Wilkerson struck out

You'll vomit once I tell you.

Okay, so the pitcher throws a wild pitch, it looks like it beaned Wilkerson so Schneider starts home, thinking he's been walked there.  But it HADN'T hit Wilkerson, merely gone flying wild to the backstop, coincidentally bouncing right on back to the catcher.  Bang, Schneider is caught in a rundown and is toast.  Two outs.

Then Wilkerson strikes out.  Of course.  End of the inning.

You don't want to know the answer: Psssst {whispering} "it involved a double play with a guy for our team playing short stop".

Oh great.  1 out, a man on first...

...CRISTIAN GUZMAN comes up.

You can just friggin' hear the double play coming.

edit: Amazing, Guzman managed to advance the runner.  Whilst predictably failing to get on base himself, of course.

And now we have some SERIOUS PINCH-HITTING POWER coming to the plate in Carlos Baerga!!

Man, do I sound as bitter as I feel?

they are just playing FLAT...they aren't playing with any emotion at all.  I've never seen them look so "disinterested" like they do today and at HOME no less.  <shrug>

Oh my God.  I have never heard of anything as bad as that.  That might be worse than losing a game on a bullcrap balk call.

What's up with Wilkie...where is the "double machine"? Now all he does is strike-out and swing for the fences.   :(

BASES LOADED ONE OUT.

You don't get this sort of chance twice in a game.

Except for those times when you do.

Let's not blow it here, kids, okay?
