its shots like that that makes me wish Ryan was a better overall hitter so he can be the undisputed lf of our future.

sure there is...just imagine the raw power coming up to the plate now in the bottom of the 9th - down by a run.  Gotta have the FICKONATOR.

Well, while I certainly would prefer to see Dmitri at the plate - Fick is 4-4 right now ...

4 for 4?  I think he is 2 for his last 2 but he does have a 4 game hitting streak.

Did you guys hear that the reason why Hill was bunting last night is because the Nats won't let him swing a bat?  His shoulder still isn't fully healed.

What's Fick's batting average?  What kind of hits were these?  Little dribblers that squeezed between infielders I would bet.  He's made four hits and now everybody wants his autographed jock strap?

That's exactly the reason for the bunt, Don, to get the pitcher up, without having him start the next inning.

That's why Nook should be batting #2.

would have liked to have seen a pinch hitter there but if Redding gives us another scoreless inning that would be huge

Good inning Nats ... Nook missing a dinger by about 2 inches - Church with a Titanic Blast - Zim with back to back doubles -- very nicely done Nats ...

Literally as close as you can come without actually hitting it out - a great hit

Rowand is due up, though.  And Tim was losing a little control in that last inning.
