Is it my imagination or is Skyler more portly than she was when she was preggers? I thought the snake that ate the bowling ball look was much better than the double chin look. Is there a back story on this like there was with January Jones?

Just watched S1E2. Dang, the bathtub thing... I had some idea what was coming, but that was still kinda stunning. But (a) why'd they go stand under the hole? What about dripping? (b) Wouldn't the wood floor get damaged then too?

The Skyler meets Jesse scene was pretty incredible. I know all y'all know this, probably, but... he can't possibly keep cancer+meth secret for very long, right? Well he must keep the meth thing a secret cuz the show's still airing. But you know what I mean.

Anyway. Time to keep catching up.

Skyler meets Jesse in episode 2? Damn. I don't remember what happens at all in the beginning, then!

Cuz Clever, JMW and I are starting from the very start and going through S1. Linty's comment here

Also, I don't remember two people getting killed in the first episode.
definitely confused me til I moved on to episode 2.

Nobody, it's that Krazy-8 looked dead in e1 but wasn't.

Episode 1-3 was some of the most suspenseful television I have watched in years.

This season was a disgrace outside of the last five minutes of episode 8. Had they ended it last season it would have easily been one of the greatest shows ever but instead they freaked it up.

I can't believe you weren't a fan of the prison-shanking montage.

I can only suspend disbelief for so long. One of the main reasons my dissertation never got defended.

Pretend that they ended the show after the last episode of season 4.

Couldn't disagree more.

Thought the first eight episodes of Season 5 have been fantastic.

The scene in episode 4 was pretty hilarious when Walter set the jerk's BMW on fire.

Season four, in my mind, is one of the best seasons any show has ever produced. So that takes top spot for me.

My favorite line reading so far: at the intervention in S1, when Walt says, "Alright, I've got the talking pillow now." Hilarious.

Pretty solid show but I didn't like the way the Gustavo "Gus" Fring arc ended or how the Don Eladio arc was left unresolved. Seems like they were flying by the seat of their pants at the end and just tried to wrap it quickly knowing it was their last chance. Seems like it would have been better served by drawing it out over a five or six episodes are dealing with the loose ends.

Agreed.  I'm only wanting more.  I hate this whole two-part season thing, but knowing this show, it'll be worth the wait.

As far as suspending disbelief goes, a chemistry teacher turning into the ultimate badass is already weird enough to begin with.  This show does a pretty good job of refraining from reaching the truly unbelievable, especially when you compare it to current television shows. (e.g. Dexter with everyone in a police department turning a blind eye to a killer under their nose)
