I'm curious.  What should the conversation be like tonight?

You called the freaking game in the first inning. Let's not talk about tonight. If the team isn't up by six, you and sportsfan nag nag nag.

I'm curious.  What should the conversation be like tonight?

How does Gorzelanny only have a 3.09 ERA?  Are the majority of runs he gives up earned to the pitcher he is bailing out in certain innings ala Doug Slaten?

He may be allowing a lot of inherited runners to score.

He was spotted a lead against Cy Young candidate Dickey and couldn't hold it. And he couldn't even go 6 innings. Discouraging. At least we don't have to worry about him facing the Braves in that pressure environment this weekend.

2 runs over 5 innings is not the worst thing in the world.

When your offense has only scored 1 run and your bullpen has been terrible lately it's not a good thing.

How are they going to score another run vs Dickey? Forget about it. Game.

Wait a minute, he was spotted a lead?  A one run lead and the Mets aren't the worst hitting team out there.  He just didn't pitch well, and still only gave up 2 runs.  True he should be going deeper into games and something is making me think he just isn't right considering his control is all over the place lately.

For the Nats to win, they must get into the bullpen.  Also, don't blame Zimmerman who yes is cooling off lately and is making horrible throws recently (just throw sidearm, kid) just because he is having trouble sizing up a KNUCKLEBALL.  It's the hardest pitch to hit because you can't track it.

Isn't it weird that the Nats are wearing special uniforms for 9/11 and the Mets are not?

Banned until the playoffs if we score another run or vice versa?

Well they aren't getting into the bullpen so you can forget about that. Someone needs to get lucky and go yard.

We needed to win this game 1-0, unfortunately.
