I agree with you, although I don't know what "playing like your hair is on fire" means in baseball. It's not like football defense where you can hit anything that moves.
Danny is fine if he continues to hit in the #8 spot. He plays great defense. Morse is a problem in LF defensively but he's a good hitter (typically) and can move to 1B.
He's the worst reliever in the pen. Why aren't we going to someone better??!! freaking stupid
16.20 ERA for Stammen. Davey's obsession with him makes no sense. What is he saving our best relievers for??
He's not. He was overused in the regular season which is why he's been lousy lately. Face it. The stupid Strasburg crap freaked everything up and we all knew this would happen once we shut him down. The only reliable relief pitcher we have is Storen and that's only because he wasn't over-used.
If we resign LaRoche, then Morse has to be moved, I think.
Can't argue with that. Though I'd prefer to keep Morse over LaRoche.
I shut the game off. I'm done. Won't watch tomorrow either.I'll take my NL East Championship T-shirt and hope for next year.
I guess my advice is next time you finish at the #1 seed in the NL, maybe push your chips to the middle of the table and try to win something. Don't shelf your best pitcher in hopes that you get back to that spot a year or years later. So stupid.
Who was out for half the season. Maybe tired means something in the pen.
OK boys let's go, do or die
Wouldn't have made a difference. No offense
There absolutely is something to it. The pen was great until September and our starters routinely went six innings as a maximum. It bites you in the ass in September and October (if you make it to October).
