I know alot of people on here hate Kearns, but I would rather see him play than Pena. Hell, Kearns gets lucky every once in a while. Pena is so bad that he can't even get a lucky hit.
I completely agree with you. There should be a moratorium on complaining about Kearns as long as Wily Mo is seeing significant playing time.

which is why he can't play RF like everyone wants him to.

I posted a few days ago that an outfield of Harris, Mackowiak and Langerhans would be more productive than the crap we are putting out there every night.

If it were up to me I'd dip in the minors and call up JMax and Daniel.  They might not be completely ready but they could easily  outproduce the likes of Kearns and Wily Mo.

Wait a minute, if they both suck they should both be ripped. You're finding excuses for Kearns. By your logic then there should be a moratorium on ripping Peña because Kearns has sucked for pretty much the entire season.

Dude. Chico had given up ONE hit all night and they trust Colome more than they trust him?

Kearns sucks. It's just that Pena sucks more.  :)

How do they get to 3rd so easily when it's like barbed wire between us and third base.  Heaven forbid we'd actually score!

They both suck behind the plate, but Kearns is FAR better than any other outfielder we have defensively.  Kearns should be ripped for his hitting, but he provides intangibles that none of our other outfielders provide.

And Dukes is hitting .048 with 8 Ks in 21 ABs.  yuck

That's bullcrap too. Did you watch the game yesterday and the game earlier in the week where Kearns let the ball sail over his head for the loss? Kearns' D has been awful.

rare nice outing by Colome. Good relief work tonight but it's essentially meaningless.

I'm willing to suffer through Milledge and Dukes for a bit. they are both 23, with not much Major league experience. they need to be given time to grow.

Kearns and Pena are past the 'growing" phase, and they are in the "produce or else" phase.

though, I think Milledge and Dukes would be better defensively at LF and CF respectively.

Wily Mo should spell his name "Willy Moe."  He is clearly MISSING something.  80 AB, 5 Runs, ZERO homers, 5 RBIs, 7 walks, 23 SOs, .200 BA.  He was not a full time starter for another team in 2007.  Neither was Milledge or Dukes.  The Nationals FO has cheated its fan base.

He really showed that the other night in NY. That may have cost us the sweep.

What's that, country music intro songs? :?

you are full of crap. Kearns has been just as bad in the field as everyone else.

and what "intangibles" does Kearns bring that gives him a pass for sucking?

Milledge and Dukes deserve to be "growing" in the Minors. They are not ML-Caliber hitters at this point.

I am hoping for Flopsy double, Guzman double [Flopsy scores], Zim single [Guz to third], Young walk [bases loaded], Boone HR. It's too much to ask for, isn't it? :)

I agree. I still think Milledge is gonna be a good player. Dukes needs some time in the minors. His swing just has too many holes in it. There is no excuse for Kearns and Pena.

I'm not usually one to call things "gay" but MASN using the exact same schtick for both teams (and even some of the same extras ) is freaking gay.

Felipe was a huge contributor to this loss, that's for sure. Other than a hit in the first inning he was just god awful.
