If your daughter was looking for a sperm donor and she had to choose from Mike Trout's or Bryce Harper's and allowed you to make the decision, who would get the honor? Now, please note Harper is a bit taller and has slightly better aesthetics.

Are Frazier's stats still good?  I want to see some articles where writers take a stand on ROTY.

Frazier has fallen off a cliff here in September - he's really been scuffling

harper or miley.

it's going to be really close, Miley's numbers have been fantastic for a rookie:

16-9, 3.33 ERA, 1.182 WHIP, 144Ks

I gotta think it goes to Harper, as good as Miley has been, he isn't nearing all-time milestones for a rookie like Harper.

He's also a pitcher for a non-contender, while Bryce is an everyday player for the team with the best record in baseball. Continuously doing it when the games really REALLY matter has to count for something

probably can't count out Wilim Rosario either, 28 HRs, .273/.316/.539 and he's a catcher, but there's the CO effect,

My col: Who's No. 1 in MLB in OPS (1.107), runs & extra-base hits over last 5 weeks of pennant race? Yup, Bryce Harper. http://wapo.st/Vrmw2r

As the Washington Nationals celebrated their National League East title Monday night, standing on their own field soaked in champagne and talking for nearly an hour about every baseball subject imaginable, one subject came up that had a perplexing, surprising but exciting answer.

Since Manager Davey Johnson called a team meeting in Miami on Aug. 29 with the club mired in a five-game losing streak, which player had done the most to help the team right itself and go on a solid 19-13 run to end up with the division title? Gio Gonzalez was 5-1 with a 1.34 ERA. Ryan Zimmerman had 27 RBI. Ian Desmond hit .333 and fielded brilliantly. Drew Storen was lights out: 1.17 ERA in 17 games. Adam LaRoche hit nine homers.

But the Nats were not surprised to learn that the best offensive player in the game from Aug. 29 until now was on their team, leading MLB in that span in runs, extra-base hits and on-base-plus-slugging percentage (1.106) with 10 homers. The teenager.

An adjustment to Harper's baserunning score bumped him up to 4.9 fWAR.

There might be another defensive adjustment coming, he might hit 5.

Are you trying to start a kerfuffle? Lay off the Canadian bacon. There is no reason to be a Montreal sookie, eh?

I miss Kenzafan.

I thought he said he would come back around when the team was not so bad?
