Looks like AZ's persistence is finally paying off dividends as the converts begin to pledge their allegiance to Dukes.

It's sad when someone on the team hits a simple double and is hailed as some sort of savior. That is the sorry state of the Washington Nationals.

Me too, he looked safe by a mile on the live shot but the replay showed it a little more clearly.

Perspective is everything.  If we go strictly by the GD thread, one would think the score was 12-3!

He is in line for the win though because the Clips scored 6 .

Meanwhile, AZ gets an emotional release as DUKES brings the Nationals within 1 run...

Haha, that's true.  They'd also be saying it was a bad trade, Church would have had it, (tom)even though he's a 4th outfielder at best(/tom)

Actually I think by now everyone is done with Kearns. It's just a mtter of time before AZ gets the OF he dreams about.

Me too.  That will likely be the play that costs us the game.

Does Ayala have another inning in him or is it Rivera time?

Kearns deserves to be benched in favor of Dukes but who will play LF? Pena isn't capable.

Nine pitch for Ayala.  He needed that.

And that outfield still sucks. Milledge and Pena are complete rollercoaster rides out there and Dukes has probably smoked more joints than times he has stepped into the outfield his whole career. Scary times a coming.

JimBo needs to back up the puke he spews. The other day there was an article saying he wasn't scared to call up Maxwell or a youngster.

Why not try Boone?  LF is 2nd easiest defensive position to play.  Absolutely couldn't be worse than WMP

I like Max as much as anyone but he batting .238 in AA. Might as well give him a chance to see if he can produce up here though.
