Hmm.. Guzman seems off lately.

His contract pays NOTHING for having been named to the All Star game.

I still wonder why we don't get killed every night with these lineups.

So true, so true. I wonder the same thing. The fact that we win an occasional game blows my mind.

Ronnie gets the fat part of the bat on the ball almost every time. I wish some of our bigger guys could do that. :?

Defense and starting pitching lost this game for us.

0 for 4, 4 left on base. Just an average night for 'Wily Mo Pen-ful-to-Watch.'

my recap:

Wily Mo is officially the worst baseball player in the MLB. he's got 0 tools.

Willie Harris has got to be juicing!  ;)

Clippard > Balester. i wish it was Clip that got the "long look" in the majors.

and it's nice to hear R.Z. is on the path to coming back and playing some rehab games during the all star break!

HOWEVER, is it really worth it? his shoulder seems to be very fragile and this season is already a lost cause. i'd like to see him come back for the simple fact that the games will be more entertaining but idk if it's worth the risk of him aggravating the injury.

Id say, if zimmy comes back and hes fine, let him, if it bothers him in less then like 5-10 games, take him out and get him ready for next year, just because i would not want him to be damaged for years to come just so we can get some wins in a lost season.

Ballester is very young and will be way better than Clippard will ever be. As for Willy Ho he needs to start hitting or else we should give him the boot to make room for someone to develop for the rest of this season b/c that person is a future piece!

You guys are crazy for ripping Balester.  His first start was solid, second one was okay made the one mistake to Dunn, last night wasn't good as he relied too much on his fastball but also had sh!tty defense behind him which didn't help their cause.

He's freaking 22 years old and he's going to take his lumps.  Everyone in the system - and others - as far as scouts/talent evaluators go, all said he has the stuff to have a very long career.

He won't be the ace, but he'll be a legit middle of the pack rotation starter with Lannan.  Remember John Lannan had a couple outings last season where he gave up 4 runs or more.

Be patient.
