with a 6.65 ERA. He's surrendered nine homers this season, and four of them have
come in the 18 innings he's completed during his past three starts. He is 3-0 with
an 0.86 ERA in three starts against the Nationals this year.

Hill scattered two runs (one earned) over six innings to beat the Marlins his last time
out. It was the right-hander's first win since May 11. He allowed six hits, struck out
four and didn't walk a batter. Hill has allowed three earned runs or fewer in all but one
of his starts this season. He has never faced the Braves.

Looks like Shawn can't throw strikes today for whatever reason.

Routine double play, and the Nats blow it.

Good to see the Nats laying down for Hudson today.  He has only given up 3 runs against the Nats in 27 innings this year (1.00 ERA).

Well, lo and behold, the Nats get out of that.

Will they score any runs now?

Hudson, average against any other team, is god-like when pitching against the Nats.

Hudson's most likely going to come out for the bottom of the 8th.

Bob:  "Total mastery of the Nats today."

Yeah, that would sum it up.

Yeah, Hudson's what Hill aspires to be. I hope it works out for him.

Not a good game today, but not the worst ever. Nice day for a ballgame at least.

I don't think I've ever seen a one page GD thread here. Obviously the game itself didn't merit a long one, and we did have a good turnout for the tailgate so that took a toll.

We've had a few one-pagers but they are rare.
