I thought maybe Knight was saying that Carpenter's sister was banging La Russa.

... first thing that crossed my mind too :)

I am Michael Morse. You cannot beat me!

haha morse code is a stud in spurts.  the way he was hitting off the bench, i was ready to give him a spot next year.  but he's just so inconsistent.

lol disputing this? You have to be kidding me
If I'm LaRussa, it's worth at least asking them to take a look at it.  The worst they can say is go sit down Tony.  They're in a play off race.

Do you really think he's this good? I can see an outfield of Willingham, Morse, and Bernadina next season. I don't know what to think of Morse, but he's really shown some serious power this season.

Which means Morgan will be back there soon enough.  :|

He only had a little over 2 years of service time coming into this season. He might be eligible for arbitration, but has a while until he reaches free agency.

At minimum, he could be our 4th outfielder as well as #1 bat off the bench.  He can play 1st or even other infield positions in a pinch (he came up as a SS).  Possibly, he could be a Jason Werth type starting RF.  We should be giving him every chance to help sort this out.

That's the way I'm leaning but Riggs may have a "plan".

Given the bull pen's (ab)use the last few days, I'd keep him in as long as possible.
