DC was, is, and always will be Redskins first.  I don't get it either.  I love the skins too, but I guess ppl are gluttons for either punishment or mediocrity.

Do you think if the Nats had long-term success, and won a WS they would take over the top spot from the Skins?

Really? That's very puzzling to me. I'm not a Skins fan, and I don't live up there. But I feel like the Skins have been largely disappointing for the most part in recent years. I obviously see that RG3 is going to bring a lot of excitement to the Skins, but still the Nats are in the middle of a great race, and have the best record in baseball.

Just figured it'd be more a Nats town at the moment.

It's perplexing to me too, but the Skins have a deep history in this town.  There's a growing fanbase for the Nats, but it's a slow process.

We could have John Beck and Rex Grossman battling for the starting qb job and it still would be Redskins first. Wait...

Tragically, the football team.

I'm not exactly on the pulse of DC, but it's just sad people are still deluded. There are two other teams in town that do things the right way.  Switch should have flipped if you're intelligent.

It's more of a Nats' town than it's been probably since '05.   However, the 'skins have a long uninterrupted tradition.

Nah, it's football and in America football is king.  Only a few, rare places that have those spots reversed

When I realized I was rooting for a uniform and zero of the Players it was over for me.

Yeah, when stories like this dominate the press and newscasts, it's a football-first town:

Quote from: Washington Times
Rookie Davis misses the bus

Second-round draft pick Fred Davis missed the final practice of the Washington Redskins' three-day minicamp yesterday morning.

The Redskins said the rookie tight end from Southern Cal overslept. Rookies typically have roommates during camp, but a club official said Davis moved into a single room Saturday night and failed to board the team bus the next morning.
