The Rays have an exciting team, but Red Sox Nation consistently shows up strong there when the Sox are in town.  The fact that Cubs fans are showing up in droves worse than Sox fans do at the Trop speaks volumes about the Nats' fanbase.

Soto is a badass. Much better offensive player than Flores.
No way, Jose.  Don't be fooled by Soto's "hot" start.  The Nationals have shown the rest of the league how to get him out with ease. Nothing but changeups in the dirt and breaking balls.  You are underestimating Jesus.

I've seen Soto play quite a few times. He's going to be a .300 hitter for a LONG time. That's not the type of hitter Flores is. Just because we've gotten him out for 1 1/2 games doesn't mean he's doomed to fail.

Mostly our fanbase sucks, let's face it. We have a bunch of lukewarm fans that only make noise when something good happens and allows opponent teams' fans to take over our stadium.

I'm not.  Nieves is obviously not going to continue to hit like this but he's still just as good as Lo Duca and Estrada are offensively.  His defense is far superior.

Soto will not be a .300 hitter. Flores will hit .270-.280 with 20 HRs and a boat load of doubles perennially for us.  He also draws walks.

I asked what should happen if Zimmerman continued to play like crap for the next two weeks. It's been a week now. Does anyone think they will do something soon?

I just saw Jed Lowrie make a crap play on a ball at third base.  And people wanted him to play SS for us.

I don't get what you see in Flores, but I hope you're right. He looks pretty average to me at this point.

Soto's one of my favorite young catchers. He'll be around for a while.

Milledge Ks on a hanging slider.  That's a great pitch to hit.  Lastings would probably bat 8th on every team in the league except for our's.

Gotta swing at the close ones, because with this ump close is a guaranteed strike.

Because that was the only way for us to get rid of Schneider.

If Chico could hold them to 5 runs over the next 5 innings he would have close to a 'quality start'  :?
