ZDK - Reply #9 quotes BA's write up.  They say low 90s fastball, which is more than adequate for a lefty.  Mention a sinnker, slider, and a change.

is the low 90s right?

I think Lannan blocks him. He could beat Maya.

9 IP 5 H 1 ER 1 BB 4 K (Win) today  He's now 4-0 with a 0.81 ERA. Gotta be a callup in September when Stras is shut down.

So 32 IP and 1 ER in his last four starts?

I'd like him and Hector Nelo to see some September action if possible.

Yep, he's killing it in AA this year. Sub 2 ERA in 15 innings. I mean it's only 15 innings but still. Walking 4 per nine but striking out 12.5

From Kilgore:

Danny Rosenbaum allowed no runs in six innings. For the season, Rosenbaum has allowed four earned runs in 50 2/3 innings, a 0.71 ERA, with 33 strikeouts and four walks.

Sounds like they're wasting his time in AA.

I would say call him up, but pitching is already our strength.

Bad video of him pitching.

He's Lannan-esque... even in his motion.

Update:

Player                     W  L  ERA   GP  GS  CG  SV  IP     H   R  ER  HR  BB  SO  BB/9   SO/9   WHIP   STK%    G/F
Danny Rosenbaum  6  0  0.99   9     9    2    0  63.1  43  9   7    1    9   41  1.28    5.83     0.82    69%    5.67

Some things that really stand out to me are the fact that through 9 games, he already has 2 complete games, his ERA is below 1, he's only given up one jack, he averages just one walk per game (while striking out almost 6), and his ground ball ratio is a ridiculous 5.67!  I know he has a weak fastball, but he causes a lot of groundball contact, which means he can be an innings eater for us.

How soon until get gets sent to Syracuse?  It has to be soon, right?  How much more does he need to dominate before they really test his arm?

he's Tom Milone- walks no one, so he can go deep and doesn't end up giving up runs. If he can keep up the low HR rate and ground ball rate, he definitely has a place in a major league rotation

To play a bit of the skeptic, Milone is 8 months older and playing in the majors, while Rosenbaum is doing what he is doing in AA.

The past 2 years, they've bumped him up a level with about 40 innings left in the year.  That might mean a bump to Syracuse in August.  He's outclassing AA right now, so maybe they give him June at that level and give him an early bump to AAA, plus maybe some AFL to get a few more innings in.

I'm not sure. I believe recently the tendency has been to give the players their time in the lower levels and let them go a bit more quickly at the higher levels (mindfact). Could be wrong though, especially because Rosenbaum is blocked.

He's struggled a little bit, and his ERA is up to 3.44.
