I don't care about awards or arbitration but it does actually affect the outcome of a ballgame and that blows. In his defense, if there is any, that was a bang bang play and the tag was not in plain sight. He still missed the call though.

Word from the Nationals clubhouse is that Nick Johnson, who was scheduled to start today's game at first base and bat second in the order, was scratched just prior to first pitch due to stomach discomfort.
