Checked nationals.com when I got home, saw that the Nats website headline generating algorithm is getting its usual workout.
"Nats <negative verb> with <pitchername>'s bad start"
"Nats behind early against <team name>"
"Riggleman receives praise from Nats FO"
The worst part is that final part obviously. As much as it seemed to make sense to have a caretaker manager until everyone is healthy/the first wave of prospects is here and established, Riggleman just has to go. I hope the website is just blowing smoke and we get the "surprise" firing some time right after the final out on 10/3.
