I wasn't necessarily referring to you (though I've noticed you tend to favor the pessimists over the optimists) more just an overall feeling of this board. Optimists are called condescending (which is really ironic) and naive and the pessimists are simply realists.
Actually I tend to have a lot of "happy" thoughts, but I tend not to share them since I believe caution is the watch-word with this team. I guess you've totally missed the rather "shiny" chin gag that I've been running with since LaRoche turned it on. Or all the other positive posts I've made whenever the team does something good, for that matter.
As for the bolded, I suppose we'll just have to agree to disagree. Outside of BiL I haven't seen any of the "shiners" be too unrestrained. The amount of people on the other side of the coin far outweighs that. But that's just the feeling I've gotten.
Given your complaints, is it that hard to imagine that you have a cognitive bias on this matter? I'm not saying I don't, but come on. Not a hit, run, or win goes by where at least half a dozen people don't mercilessly taunt all the "doom and gloom" posters.
