These losses are crippling the slim chance that the Marlins had at making the playoffs.
Kind of a shame in that I'd like to see Nick Johnson make the postseason, but the Nats come first.

And yet... Wil is still a terrible game caller.

You have no concept of sample size.
we are a better team with him behind the plate, no doubt.

you just feel safe with him behind the plate. you don't have to worry about runners running at will, passed balls, slow to get to balls hit in front of the plate.

Who is 'you'?

Were not some magically better team with Wil catching.

it's no magic. he stops the ball, throws well, and can move freely. our pitchers are more comfortable with him behind the plate.

I am glad Rig has decided to give him more starts. It's no coincidence we have gone on a nice stretch of winning.

Dude, just don't.  It's not worth the frustration.

I'll take it but I can't update lineups because I'll be at the game

I didn't watch the game and I read that Dukes lined out three times, did he hit the balls hard or were they soft liners? Also how did Jorge Padilla do?
And picking up Lannan and dropping Hamels has been a great move for my fantasy team. MacDougal striking out Hanley two nights in a row is nice to see.

Ok I hope he turns it on because I like the outfield of Willingham/Morgan/Dukes but if he doesn't I don't know who will play right.

I've gone out drinking the last four nights. We've won the last four nights. Clearly, I need to go out drinking more often.

wahoo glad i trecked over for the game- those esaver deals are great- anyway this was another strong nats effort- the back to back home runs on what i think was back to back pitches was amazing--- good thing the nats held on

dukes got some jears especially when he dropped that foul ball in the 8th (though it wasn't a super easy catch) and Dunn could be solid at 1b
