3rd base is not an elite position. How many 3rd baseman are better in the NL?
Mark Reynolds and Kung Fu Panda this year? Maybe Ian Stewart. David Wright is having an awful season with no protection in the lineup.

yes, you are correct.

Zimmerman is God.

now let's drop it.

this inning could get ugly.

i wonder if det continues to pitch well if we see him soon again.  the reports are that Jordan Zimmermann is going to throw a bullpen side session this weekend and if all goes well, I'm assuming he'll be on a rehab assignment soon.

Zimm 162 game avg  23HR  96RBI  .286BA

Those are solid numbers. And they make a decent better than average 3B but they are not eye popping numbers of an MLB stud.

Zimmerman is God.

Is the heat getting to you out there? He's a God on the Nats. Some think that should automatically carry over to the rest of the league. (which it doesn't)

I never said he is. I said he is above average for his position.
He's a 3rd baseman on a competing team for sure.

Zimmerman is God.

Considering his D (of course there's the throwing errors) I'm willing to consider him God.

At least I was until Morgan got here.

and that's what most people see him as.

only some fanboys on this forum see him as some sort of HoF quality player.

nobody thinks he's a crap player. so all of your prior sarcasm on the subject was pointless.

Nyger is a beast.  My new favorite player ahead of Flores and Zim

Manny Acta moved Zim-with-1-N out of the 3 spot for one game, about a week before he was fired.  I thought it was a misprint.

There is not reason what-so-ever to rush any (including Lannan) of the young pitchers.  Why not go to a six man rotation so nobody throws to many innings and everyone can be thoroughly looked at.  Do this for August and September using only younger pitchers with
starters expected to throw six innings and the first reliever out of the pen two or three.
