Why do Harris and Lopez keep getting starts over Casto? He didn't look hurt while pinch hitting yesterday.

Our FO and managerial decisions on a daily basis rarely fail to perplex.

nationals developmental strategy: call them up, let them succeed, then bench em.

I'm a little surprised that Young isn't the DH.

We should beat this lame, soft-tossing knuckleballer to death.  :?  I agree with what Ray Knight just said though. We'll probably see a ton of terrible swings at pitches way out of the strike zone. Knight also said facing a guy throwing so slow will screw your offense for a few days following this game. Bedard might rack up 10+ Ks tomorrow night even though he's mediocre this year.  :?

Talk about two teams that NObody cares about...  I bet the Loch Ness Monster could erupt from center field and this game wouldn't get any air time on on BBTN or SC later

It would make sense. Righties are hitting .271 off of Dickey this season while lefties are hitting a paltry .192 off of him.

got a voice mail from Erica. She said hi and that she's at the game and will be at all the games in Seattle.  She's wearing her Nats jacket, which I think is a quilted blue one w/ a white curly W.

IMing her to get seat location.

A DH batting 8th when we have Boone, Casto, Young, and Belliard, that can all play some combination of 1B and 3B but can't all play at once? We never seem to be able to actually take advantage of interleague play. But this is like a decision not to. Amazing.

This is only Dickey's second start this season. He's not very good as a starter.

Which means he'll go 7.2 and give up 1 run.

Good hit Milledge. Way to miss the hit MASN! They'd rather show stupid shots of the field than the actual game.

That doesn't sound like an angle we'd be very likely to spot from TV camera views.

If they do any crowd shots you might, esp. since she had dinner w/ the MASN crew (and Bob & Debbi) last night.
